Dog Show
The Quirky K9 will be hosting a fun dog event at the Carnival for you to show off your beloved furry friends! There will be lots of opportunity to get involved!
The show classes will be as follows:
- Fabulous Female
- Handsome Hound
- Cutest Puppy – dogs under 12 months old
- Golden Oldie – dogs aged 8 years and above
- Best Rescue
- Young Handler – dogs shown by a handler aged under 16 years of age
- Top Tricks – an opportunity for your pet pal, to show of their best party trick!
- Look-a-like – does your dog look like you? or do you have a matching costume?!
- BEST IN SHOW – First and Second Place from each class will join us in the final round to see who will become the Winwick Carnival Best in Show!
It will be £2 per class to enter your pooch; with £1 going back into the running of the Carnival, and £1 to a doggy charity (more information to be announced very soon! Watch this space!)
Limited space is available in each class, but you can pre-book your slot in the show to avoid queuing to register on the day, as well as saving some pennies! You can pre-book 3 classes for £5! (more details on this to come soon! This is in addition to your entry fee to the Carnival – but remember, kids come for free!) Only a handful of spaces will be available for ‘on the day’ registrations.
We want to make the Carnival fun and enjoyable for everyone, so have some common sense rules to be followed.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR DOG IS KEPT ON A SHORT LEAD AT ALL TIMES. IT IS LIKELY TO BE A BUSY EVENT, THIS WILL MINIMISE ANY INCIDENTS & FLEXI LEAD TANGLES.
ALL DOG MESS MUST BE CLEANED UP.
KEEP YOUR DOGS BEST INTERESTS AT HEART; IF THEY ARE SHOWING SIGNS OF DISTRESS DUE TO THE ENVIRONMENT OR TEMPERATURE, PLEASE ACT RESPONSIBLY.
PLEASE ENSURE DOGS ARE KEPT UNDER CONTROL – ESPECIALLY IF CHILDREN ARE HANDLING THE DOG, THEY SHOULD BE CLOSELY SUPERVISED.
IF REQUIRED, PLEASE ENSURE THAT DOGS FALLING UNDER ‘BREED SPECIFIC LEGISLATION’ ARE MUZZLED.
ANYONE SEEN NOT TO BE FOLLOWING THIS, WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE CARNIVAL.
